Is the process painful?
This procedure is close to painless, some may even find it a bit soothing. Numbing is applied before and throughout the entire procedure to ensure maximum comfort. Most clients do not feel a thing after numbing. My work is extremely light handed to create the most natural look. Your brows will not swell and there will be little redness even right after the procedure.
How long is the procedure?
The procedure takes about 2 hours and results are immediate! The appointment will consist of consultation to determine skin tone and pigment color, eyebrow mapping for frame and design, pre-drawing for desired shape, numbing for comfort, and finally tattooing. We’ll make sure you are 100% satisfied with your brows and understand the aftercare treatment before sending you on your way.
Is it safe for my skin?
The Ombré Powder Brow technique utilizes a small rotary ink pen made suitable for all skin types unlike microblading which is not suitable for those with oily or sensitive skin. This technique is not harmful to the skin as it does not cut deep into the epidermis and there is no blade involved. Ombré Powder Brows can also cover up old microblading, semi-permanent makeup, or cosmetic tattoos that has (somewhat) faded.
How long does it take to heal?
The healing process lasts 7-14 days and requires no heavy sweating like going to the gym. I know this may be hard for some but please refrain from working out or do so mildly for optimal healed results. Also please avoid excessive sun, swimming, facials, saunas, or brow makeup during the healing process to ensure they heal nicely!
How long do they last?
Ombré Powder Brows typically last up to 3 years; or as long as you'd like with yearly touch ups. If you decide to never get a touch up again, your brows will continue to lighten up until there is very little residual pigment left in the skin. This technique was designed to fade out over time so that you will never be left with any unwanted colors in the future.
Are they easy to maintain?
The best part about Ombré Powder Brows is that they're super low maintenance! Just clean up the hair around your shape occasionally and your beautiful results will easily last up to 3 years with minimal maintenance. (Only if you decide not to touch them up. They can last as long as you like with annual touchups. Please note that color retention will depend on a number of factors such as: lifestyle, skin type, sun exposure, etc.)
